Electronic Travel Authority (ETA)
What is an ETA?
The Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) is a secure online application designed to strengthen the security of travel to Australia. Nationals of ETA eligible countries can apply for an ETA prior to arriving in Australia. An ETA is for short term stays for either tourism or business purposes.
Who can apply for an ETA?
To apply for an ETA to Australia you must be a national of one of the following countries:
Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea Rep of (South), Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherland, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, British Overseas (BNO), USA and Vatican City State.
How long can I stay in Australia?
An ETA permits the passport holder to make multiple visits to Australia for up-to three (3) months on each visit. An ETA is valid for one (1) year, or until the expiry date of the passport (whichever comes first).
How to apply?
- Copy of passport (the page with the photo & personal details) and email to ask@gotranet.com.my
You must use the same passport that is linked to your online ETA application when you travel.

Apply now and we should be able to approve your ETA within 24 hours.
How much does this service cost?
The fee for our service is Malaysia Ringgit MYR 30.00 per passport/application.
ETA conditions?
- You must not work while in Australia. You may undertake business visitor activities (undertaking of business enquiries and contractual negotiations, and attending conferences).
- You must not study for more than three months.
- You must be free from tuberculosis.
- You must not have any criminal convictions for which you have been sentenced for a total combined period of twelve (12) months or more, whether or not the sentence/s were served.
If a new passport is issued before expire of ETA?
ETA holders will need to apply for a new ETA if a new passport is issued.
Others visa cancellation requests?
If you want your visa to be cancelled because you no longer require your visa and so you can apply for an ETA, please complete the Request for Visa Cancellation form and follow the instructions on the form.
